About Franklin Gothic

Franklin Gothic is the font i choose for the font assignment . I found some interesting information related to this while doing the research . A new font which was based on Franklin Gothic .


The typography was originally based on Franklin Gothic, over 100 years old and still looking as fresh as a daisy. Strong, solid, clear, no messin’. Then it was a matter of getting it flowing together smoothly, focusing on the shapes of each character and almost morphing them into each other so that it wasn’t just four independent letters but one seamless sculptural piece. This involved a lot of squinting and standing back until it felt right.
This is an example of what you can find at Brand New, a Speak Up spin-off displaying opinions, and focusing on corporate and brand identity work. It is a division of UnderConsideration.

My lecture require me to use the basic shape to create the "Carhartt" word . The first one i used diamond shape as the main element and the second one i used circle. Thank you for your comment

Gestalt Theory

This entry will be focus on the Gestalt Theory . My teacher asked the class to create a page which apply the gestalt theory . Hope to received your comment about this . Thank you

Sun and Moon

My lecture required the class to design which related to the topic sun and moon . I decided to design the logo for this . At first i used the basic shape circle for my design because circle suggests the infinity which also means that the existence of them is eternal. Moreover the circle also denotes movement as the moon spins around the sun .The sun is in the left and emits rays toward the moon .The rays are put symmetrical I put these elements in a close circle. When i show the blueprint to my lecture , he advised me to let the circle open. And through the new lesson , i knew that the humans brain has trend to connect things together .I also apply the brush for this which has a variation of deep at different location so the design looks more organic. Finally is the use of color . The sun is red and the rays from it is orange and the moon is yellow which is the theory of analogous . And here is my work :

Collage

Collage which mean glue in French in a visual art made from an assemblage from different form then create a new work. This technique was first used at the time paper was invented in China . Then it appeared in Europe in thirteen century and collage became a distinctive part of modern art depended on Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso in the beginning of the 20th century .There are several different ways in collage such as collage in food , collage in painting, collage in architecture etc .
